I'm pretty sure it was clockcleaner but I remember being really confused and one of like 3 people who didn't leave the basement as soon as they started playing. i was also unprepared for what was about to happen, and stayed downstairs. oops.

cold sweat also played there in september/october 2004. mind eraser and soul swallower were supposed to play but dropped. i believe that was going to be mind erasers first show (or one of their first). cold sweat was awesome and played to about 10 people including bands. nick, do you remember who else played? SEA CREATURE (when they were still butt rock) played this show. PS Who are you hungerstrike? Also.... www.myspace.com/120hamiltonA random assortment of 120 trivia: - A few crusties used to sleep on those disgusting mattresses in the basement. It was awful. - Midtown used to live there. - Members of Tent State once tried raiding our house because we stole this stupid sign they had. - Average rent was between $380-$420 (lowest rent I ever paid). - We used to have a reputation as the boring vegan straight edge kid house. Breadbox then took that honor. - Lots of edgebreaking - Basement was for shows; attic for parties. - Geoff lived there for a summer. - Our shows started on time.

agree with everything nick said. those crusties that lived in the basement made their own alcohol and it got you wild drunk. i always thought it was the boring straight edge house and now i really like everyone that lived there.
john terry and double j were sweet first floor dudes. i really miss this hosue and saw so many fucking cool bands there.

The last few years of this house is when I started hanging out in New Brunswick pretty hard, and not long after moved here. I miss those times. So much fun, so much wild stupid shit happening, so many good (and bad) bands, so many kids coming out, so many houses.
I can only hope that my friends and I can help bring it back to that.

A friend of my sister's moved in there after all the punx moved out, I'm not sure if it was immediately after but it was definitely close after. She talked about how disgusting the basement was.

My only regret is that I never played there. I remember I met RichNJ for the second time at that Municipal Waste show. His friend was wearing a shirt that said, "Fuck Dying".
Hell yeah.

one of my favorite shows of all time....so much fun, and I think it was this one where I tried to party with those sorority girls driving by in a big line, hahaha good times even if they didn't appreciate me trying to get into their car and ruining their convoy.

The only time I ever saw (and ever will see) Municipal Waste was in this basement on a weekday night. I think it was in 2005. Shows in New Brunswick weren't regularly attracting 100+ kids like they eventually would in 2008. So the fact that there were probably 35 kids in attendance is, in retrospect, interesting.
Anyway, they set up a fog machine, dimmed the lights, and strategically placed a few fans to blow their dirty metal hesher hair in the wind. It was that night that I understood the ridiculous appeal of Municipal Waste. It was fun and entertaining; pure and simple. The problem with these bands is that they never know when to call it quits. It's gone on for four identical LPs and one absurd punk sub-genre (burrito) too long!
Thread status: bumped.

there were a bunch of good shows i had a good time at, at 120 hamilton.
however, that a new enemy new years day show starting at 2pm was the worst thing ever. does anyone remember that? pretty much everyone was completely hung over and it was real weird. later on that night was the kyi 10th anniversary show or some shit at cb's and they played a super long set. it was awesome.
