I just got back from Canada (WHICH RULED) and had something up there called "Poutine" .... it's similar to disco fries but it's french fries, gravy and cheese curds. It was so delicious, got it twice in Toronto, once was at this cool place called House of Poutine which was on a street of awesome record stores, it had a "punk" feel to the place, offered vegan and veggie versions of it.... shit is awesome, who's had it?

i had it in Montreal this summer and it was alright. i think the place i got it from wasn't very good though because i feel like it should have been better than it was.
sidenote, i've never been to a city where there were as many beautiful girls as there were in Montreal.

So, everybody here has seen Super Troopers, right? I assume so, since that movie just kinda goes with the territory of awesome taste. One line a lot of folks tend to miss is in the opening scene, when Thorny pulls over the stoner dudes, they say "We were just trying to go to Canada for some French fries and gravy..." and the stoner dude in the back goes "POUTINE!" This was my first exposure to Canada's greatest dish. "Canada, huh? Almost made it."

on a street of awesome record stores I see you made it out to Queen Street West, good call. I have a love/hate relationship with that area, full of hipsters yet full of so much cool shit at the same time. its weird. the best record store in Toronto, however, is in an obscure working class neighbourhood of Bloor Street West, its called Hits and Misses and I took RichardNJ there earlier today. I've seen Seasick and Fanshen records in there before... I've only had Vegan Poutine in Montreal, and it did indeed make me shit like a motherfucker. they also sell it (non-veg) at trucks all over my school, and people just devour it. I dont understand how Canadians can eat it so much and not suffer from an obesity epidemic, talk about belly bombs. -an American Werewolf in Toronto.
