Get it now, pals. Record release show tonight was incredible with the Measure, Shellshag, and the New Dress. Preorders from No Idea get the cool as shit green & white vinyl + bonus 7": Unquestionably one of the records of the year. New Brunswick punk at its absolute best.

Stoked, will get this immediately. I can't see liking it more than "Songs About People n Fruit n Shit," but I can't see liking many records by any band more than that album.

PAt, I'd say start at Songs About People n Fruit n Shit. Then the first LP..Historical Fiction. Then the collection 12" that had all of their 7"s up till that point. That's almost everything.

They've released so much stuff I don't even know where to start, its overwhelming so i've never checked them out Yeah Pat, don't sleep! Like Jeff said, if you get just the 12"s, which would be the Hisotrical Fiction LP, the collection LP (One Chapter in the Book: A Collection of Standard Waits & Measures), the Songs About People...'n Fruit 'n Shit 12" EP, and the new LP (Notes) you will have the vast majority of their recorded output. You'd only be missing a very small handful of songs left off the collection and the subsequent 7"s and singles, which will eventually be collected on another volume at some point. Also, conveniently, though they have a lot of records, each one is actually numbered in the liner notes with "This is the XX Measurement." The new LP is the 17th, and the bonus 7" is the 18th. The new LP and People 'n Fruit 'n Shit would be the strongest material to start with I would say. Like Jeff said, that EP is nearly flawless and has "Revisionist," which ranked as my favorite Measure song until they started playing the first song on the new LP, "Be Yours," which is my new favorite.

cant wait to hear this record, and Union pool is clearly the banger track, i think we can all agree on that.

Opinion: I think "No Regrets" and "Hit The Ground Running" might be their best songs.
But as I said earlier, everything theyve done is awesome. Discussing Measure tracks/listening to them on my blackberry drunk with Gajewski at The Trouble gigs is undoubtedly one of my top recent memories.
