I started reading comics again pretty recently, mostly trade paper backs so i can catch up on whole stories. i've been trying to follow the annihilation conquest story arc with the origins of the guardians of the galaxy. the first book of the collection is pretty rare and sells for around $100 bucks so i downloaded from the marvel app and read it on the i pad. has anyone else used the marvel comics app or the marvel universe subscription app? the comics look great on i pad and the way you scroll from panel to panel is pretty nice. seems like a cool way to get older out of print stuff.
any movies, comics, games, shows people are excited about?

saw a preview of cowl and the art style looks really cool. how was that book?

Cowl is a great read. It's the type of book where there are no heroes persay, everyone sort of lives in the grey area, so the real world moral dilemmas are much more present. The concept is very interesting, the first trade gives you a good framework for how the setting is going to work. Pretty stoked on getting the second book.
Other stuff:
Just read the first two issues of Edge of the Spiderverse and it's pretty impressive. As an older guy who aged out of Spiderman (because they refused to mature the character over the past 50 years at all) this new take on the character is great.
Morning Glories is the book in which I ran through all 7 trade paperbacks in about 2 weeks. The book has an addictive quality for me which is sort of reminiscent of my first watching of LOST.
The Bendis/Maleev story arc of Moon Knight is available in trade now and if you're a fan of the darker marvel hero stuff then it will probably meet your needs. Almost as good as the Bendis/Maleev run on Daredevil.

Recently I have been picking up Southern Bastards, East of West, God Hates Astronauts, and Trees. Most recent comic i finished was Colder. Would def recommend that. Also Scalped is my favorite book... not sure if anyone has read that.
