I live at the ranch right now and as far as i know we are not going to be renewing the lease there. This means that come June 1st a new group of people will be moving in. I am making this post because i think it would be cool if the house continued to be a place that is home to shows. Those of you who have been there (which i'm sure is most of you at this point) know how sick the basement is and how big the house is. It is honestly the perfect punk house in my eyes. It's huge, it's cheap, it has an enormous basement, a big backyard and if no one is living in the breakfast nook there is easy access from the basement to the backyard and the garage, as long as we mow the lawn and pay rent on time the landlord doesn't give a fuck about shit. i would just hate to see this spot go to waste on a bunch of normal ass college students.
I know of more than one person *coughnishadcough* who has been talking about living in a punk house for a while but has never actually done it. THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY. the house probably won't be listed until march so you have a two month head start on everyone else to put together a security deposit/find people to live with. we have 8 people living here right now, but it could still be very affordable with 7 and honestly you could ram probably up to 10 in there (two of the rooms that are currently singles could easily be comfortable doubles) depending on how hard your style is.
do the right thing, kids.

I wish, I live with my girlfriend and she is super not about the having-5-other-roommates thing not to mention how loud the shows are #datinganormproblems
I really hope this place carries on, it's the best basement space New Brunswick has had in the last 4 (almost 5 at this point) years I've been going to shows there and the area is really hurting for places to do shows (I might have a new spot lined up that my friends use as a practice space but I need to meet with the owner and work something out)
Anyway, I really hope this place doesn't go the way of so many punk houses past (RIP Gnar City/Chocolate Factory, Moontower, Bath Haus, RIP Louis St in general)

If you don't mind me asking, how much is it between 7 people? I'm not planning on moving out of my parents house yet and I don't know who else would be willing to do this, but if no one decides to live there then we could get a bunch of people to chip in and make it extra affordable. I realize it might be tough to have a lot of people involved especially when you have to track them down when it's time to pay but if a few of us are serious enough to keep this awesome venue around then we can work something out.

How much is rent? Cause honestly me and a couple if my dudes are trying to get a house this year and this would be perfect, plus i don't want the ranch to die out like half the other punk houses in new bruns.

Here I was thinking that you wanted me specifically to move in, in a melodramatic "passing the torch on to the next generation" kind of way. Instead, I have Gabe to attribute your lovingly worded text messages to! I thought what we had was special!
