kinda...but i have no follow up so i'll wait it out until i have a plan. What do you do for a living? I work at a skate shop and its really not bad... i've just been here for so long that theres so many small things i cant stand anymore, and i most likely wont ever get paid more than the $11 i'm making now which isnt bad, but i cant see staying here forever.
What would you like to be doing for work if you werent working the job you were now?
help, pay me to hangout or maybe hire me where you work?! ..?

Yo I'm going through the same shit. I work at Fed-Ex as an unloader and even though the hours mix well with my school schedule, I just hate the management there and I'm tired of being treated like a dog. I'm a pretty creative person, I can draw, build things, film, and a bunch of other stuff and I can actually feel all of my creativity going to waste at Fed-Ex.
I've been thinking about it a lot and I'd really love a job doing something creative that gets the blood flowing in my brain because I feel that it's going to waste. Like I have always been interested in screen printing and always wanted to learn how to do it, someone posted about a job at a screen printing shop on here a few months ago and I fucked up by not replying in time.
I feel you though, I've worked in retail before too and it can be a real pain in the ass. What skateshop do you work at?

Turkeylegmaster, who are you?
-I work at Feet First.. like i said it'd really not bad, but I wont ever go any higher position wise where I am, and with that being said I doubt ever a pay raise.
I worked at TDT Screenprinting, it was cool. Hot, but cool. Just listened to hardcore all day. I feel like theyre always kind of hiring. Good TDT Screenprinting and see if they currently are.

Generally speaking, it is better to have a job you hate than no job at all. I have been there, and you're better off just doing it and dedicating a few hours at night to job search. Otherwise it is a mad scramble to find something. Having been unemployed numerous times since graduating college, it is rough to find new work, let alone one that is a good fit for you.

I wouldn't quit unless I had something lined up. And honestly I doubt i'll even quit anytime soon. Just something i've been day dreaming about for a little over a year.

I quit my job because my apartment lease was up and I wanted to go to Europe so I did
I just got back yesterday and I have so many interviews lined up and I feel you on what you are going through there is a lot to balance in a job with how long you think you want to stay, room for growth, challenging, salary, commute etc and it's hard to stay at a place when you do the same shit all the time I dunno what to tell you Pretty much if you don't enjoy doing it I could see it as always sucking but I've worked some dumb jobs and found ways to try and enjoy them but maybe think about the long term like why max out at $11 ?
in no way and I talking shit but I seem to meet people all the time who have weird jobs I didn't know exist and seem to make decent money so in a hopeful way it is out there

I'm Mike Drozd, who the hell are you? haha Yeah jobs like ours don't have too much room for growth but I was actually told that they recently built a new Amazon distribution center near my house and are currently hiring. The job is very similar to my current job but in a much more relaxed environment so maybe I'd like it there more. I might give that job a shot but I'd still rather do something more creative during the summer so I'll take your advice and see if they're hiring. I appreciate the help.

Yeah hopefully they don't push me to the edge before I find a new job cause I don't enjoy being unemployed because then I can't buy the Pure Disgust tape or the The Flex flexi haha. But yeah hopefully I find something creative and more stimulating soon because working at Fed Ex is mind numbing.

hi mike, im kevin. I know i posted this a long while ago but did you ever look into the amazon job? Im still at the skate shop and we just started doing amazon for our shop with like uggs and some other products a couple of months ago and its pretty easy/ more enjoyable now that a new aspect of working the same job has been introduced. obviously theres still alot i dislike here but having something other to do to break up the daily routine ive created of boredom over 5 years is a great plus. plus, im making a little more now since most of our income going forward withh be from the internet if it works out on the scale i believe it could. i also could imagine operating at in a warehouse with other employees (im the only one really who works on shipping and creating amazons SKUs) that it would be ever better.

I'm pretty excited about it cause I've been saving up some money to do a little traveling and then I'm gonna inquire about that job at Amazon soon since it takes about a month to schedule an orientation date with them. Thats cool though I'm glad you're finding stuff to make the day go by quicker cause it's important to make sure the job isn't monotonous.
